Lee Valley Campsite
Stayed at Lee Valley Campsite in September 2005. The site is fairly small, and is clean and well-maintained. It’s in a wooded area so feels quite secluded and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful, and live in a caravan onsite. The shop is small but well-stocked with basic essentials. It doesn’t appear open most of the time but the staff are never far away. The toilets and shower block could be better, with the showers being quite grubby at peak hours in the morning. For those visiting London, it’s quite far away – over an hour by public transport to central London. But the bus stops inside the campsite, and the site shop sells travelcards so it’s not too bad. Overall it’s good for people visiting London on a budget. I would stay there again.
