Hollins Farm
You get back to nature on this site, as there are no electric hook ups or showers! There is an outhouse building with toilets and washbasins - but very basic with the odd spider here and there.
Good site for young children as plenty of animals to look at, but owners of farm don't really like you to stroke the animals for various reasons.
There isn't a shop on site, and you have to drive into village to get supplies. Village shop closes early evening.
The site is in beautiful surroundings, and it easy to access the Lakes from here, as long as you have a car. Not really a place to go to on foot, as can be a bit remote.
Owners not keen on group bookings, which is a shame for those who want to go en-mass with friends/family.
For the price (£5 per night last time we went) it' cheap and cheerful, and in lovely surroundings.
