Hollands Wood Campsite
Good position; well shaded but next to Balmer Lawn so lots of space for the kids to run around. Also close to the forest - walks etc. Its a big site though - we found it noisy; traffic noise from the main road can be a pain. Watch where you pitch as well, some of the ground is very stony requiring some major clearing and peg hammering !

Hollands Wood Campsite
An excellent and well managed site, spotlessly clean toilets and showers. Don't leave food in your tent or dirty barbecues outside or you may have an early morning visit from the ponies! Backpackers arriving without a car are charged at half price (up to 2 people per tent), which makes it very reasonable. Can be busy at weekends but a good place to chill out during the week.

Hollands Wood Campsite
BIG site, attracts a mixed crowd, can get a bit load summer weekends and bank holidays - Too many kids for my liking but thats a personal thing - if you have kids you'll love it. Local shops good, and nearby too, as is the railway station ( we went to Bournemouth only 18 mins) lovely walks all from the edge of the site, very clean tiolet and shower blocks. take care not to pitch on the main road side as traffic can be obtrusive. It is more expensive than a lot of other sites but you do get what you pay for!

Hollands Wood Campsite
A very pleasant, shady site. Somewhat on the large side, but well-managed and certainly somewhere I would re-visit. Direct access to off-road cycling paths from the back of the site is a big plus. Showers etc. quite good. Brockenhurst is well supplied with decent pubs, a fish and chip shop etc. and is an agreeable place to visit. I have seen New Forest ponies helping themselves to food left accessible in tents, though, so don't leave any food out !

Hollands Wood Campsite
A lovely campsite set among trees in the heart of the New Forest. Horses and cows roam free around the pitches and there is safe off road cycling directly from the site.
There are a few pubs that are all family friendly in the village of Brockenhurst they cook good food and are about 10 minutes walk. I recommend a trip on the bus to Lymington (6 miles)where there is a town market on saturdays and a nice harbourside pub to finish off before buying the barby food at the local supermarket!!
Pros: Quiet and peaceful site as long as you stay clear of the road. Very clean facilities. Dogs allowed. Public transport, pubs, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Safe off road cycling. Lots of local attractions and areas of beauty.
Cons: Lots of road noise if you pitch on the left hand side of the site. Pitches are fairly expensive.
