Garthyfog Camping & Caravan Site
The farm is nice and clean and the proprietor is very friendly and for the very reasonable price you are paying I have no complaints.
However the campsite is very basic and probably not ideally suited for families.
There are two fields for tents but each field has only one toilet (sorry there was no toilet paper when we visited)
The toilet is clean but does not have a light inside so when you close the door it is practically pitch black.
There is only one shower for the two fields and this costs £1.00 for seven minutes (£4.00 per day per family, £28.00 per week!!). I cant be certain but a note under the light switch says do not use while shower is on. This then makes the shower room pitch black as well.
Apart from the shower there is no hot water anywhere on the campsite so you need to either 'buy' hot water from the shower or boil your own to wash up with, either way it costs you even more money.
The farm suffers quite a lot from nat's and midges and my wife and kids where eaten alive on the first night. This is not a fault of the campsite just a feature of the area but forewarned is forearmed.
Of the two camping fields the first does not have many flat pitches, the second field is more even but it has a very narrow path and may be unsuitable for large vehicles.
Overall very good for the money especially if you don't mind it basic.
