Castle Point Caravan Park
stunning views, excellent tidy campsite with wc & shower for disabled though not many facillities ie. no shop. family run small economical 25minute walk to 3 beaches rockciffe beach lots of rock pools and sand a village but no shops. castle point beach is rocky until tide goes out steep climb to get to it a bit further on there is an incredibly unique and beautiful cove. the sand is made from sea shells that have been ground by the two steep cliffs, 9ft apart, either side of the coves opening. we had the cove to ourselves for about four hours and imagined 17th century smugglers rolling barrels up the beach. there are plenty of enjoyable walks around the coast we walked to kippford and had lunch. lots of bird watching on the campsite and over the estuary. castle point is the closest family run scottish coastal camp site to central england and exceeds expectations as a scenic and quiet family getaway.
