Uplyme Touring Park Reviews

Uplyme Touring Park 5/5 5 stars

We stayed here overnight by accident when another campsite was fully booked. What luck it was to find Hook Farm! The site is small and was very quiet when we visited in early September. The friendly hosts were welcoming and kept the pristine shower rooms/toilet blocks well-stocked and very clean. The site is a pleasant 30 minutes walk from Lyme Regis, along a small, scenic river. Even better, the excellent Talbot Arms pub is a only short walk from your tent flap and serves the best pub food we have ever tasted: steak and otter pie (Otter being the name of the beer) with homemade shortcrust pastry, Sausage Explosion (three different local sausages served with mashed potatoes and gravy), rhubarb and apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding, all delicious. There are other campsites in the area, but why?

We stayed here for 1 week and will definitely return. There were various camp areas for groups and independent campers and caravans alike. The shop provides essentials, and a local baker delivers delicious croissants daily, suitable for vegetarians and vegans! As vegetarians we were well catered for in the restaurants, pubs and cafes of Lyme Regis and other local coastal towns, which was a real bonus! The site has amazing views, is very clean and even has an apple orchard for walking your dog. The owners are welcoming, helpful and friendly and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. We really made the most of the excellent toilet and shower facilities and we would really recommend this site. Happy camping and caravaning!
