Newhaven Holiday Camping and Caravan Park Reviews

Newhaven Holiday Camping and Caravan Park 2/5 2 stars

Just returned from Newhaven caravan and camping site. Spent 3 nights here, gladly no more. An unfriendly welcome didn't start our stay well. Staff were generally unhelpful and curt. We were shown to our pitch and abandoned. The site was muddy-to say the least-our neighbour had had to be towed out of the mud as he became stuck trying to pitch his caravan. The ground struggled to dry out during our stay, despite the baking heat throughout. The toilet blocks were dated and cubicles small. There was always a queue at the pot washing facilities. The laundry room consisted of one washer and drier. The drier melted my daughters duvet, even on a warm setting. The pitches were smaller than any other site we have visited. You had to park your car in front of your caravan, or near the toilet block. We won't be recommending this site or paying a return visit. Sorry.

Newhaven Holiday Camping and Caravan Park

This was a nice site with good clean toilets/showers within fairly close proximity. The top field is on a slope and is closer to the shop (which could have been open for longer as there are none locally). The lower field is much better, but is on a corner of a fairly main road and can be a bit noisey at times. If it wasn't for the road noise a nice site.

Newhaven Holiday Camping and Caravan Park

The camping ground was quite soggy and wet and it was difficult to find a flat plot. The pot washing facilities were difficult as there was one hot tap for three sinks so you had to carry the water to the sink in cups or bowls etc.
The staff were quite friendly but the shop was limited in selection and ran out of: Bacon, bread and water while we were there. The sound of the road was audible but you got used to it.
