Camping Nauta, Santa Cruz De Tenerife

Stayed on this site in a cabin in Dec 2000, so was the winter season. Camping area was basic, pitching on rock couldnt bang pegs in. No shade, so was hot by day and chilly at night. Toilet block basic, was a bar/restaurant/shop on the site and swimming pool. Was about 1 mile to the bus stop, one way to Los Christianos or beyond or back to the airport, we hired a car from the airport as last bus back was midnight, lots of backpackers on the site had to stay put in the evening cos only taxis back to the site after the last bus and unlit road back to site. This is the only campsite as far as I know in Tennerife, seems a shame they dont improve the facilities and put a shuttle bus service to at least the nearest town Las Galletas (about 15 min walk)away, as a great place to spend some time in the winter months camping.
