Camping Ilha De Tavira 
we stayed here for a couple of days last jusne whilst touring the algarve and enjoyed it so much we are returning for a full week in may 2005. No cars are allowed on the island, but once you've pitched ur tent it has all you need. Cafe, supermarket, volleyball court

Camping Ilha De Tavira
The site is on an a large low sandy island reached by ferry (one euro return fare). The facilities are generally good except the showers are cold and the pitches are very sandy so take care to take long pegs. The location is superb and well worth carrying the camping gear. There are lots of good restaurants nearby.
