Camping Norcenni Girasole, Firenze

This is a very good site for all kinds of campers, from families to singles looking for fun. The toilet blocks are clean, the restaurant is excellent and the bar is always lively - plenty going on there. The site has excellent swiming pools and offers many activities, including tennis and horseriding.
It's set in themiddle of Chianti country so wine lovers are spoilt for vineyards to visit. The site also provides a bus to take guests to Florence, and the site is well-positioned for visits to other Tuscan towns and sites, eg, Arezzo, Siena, San Gimignano and even Rome.

Having been here twice in Sept / October when many camp sites are pretty slow and even boring I can recommend this to any one either with families or just couples. The visitors are from around the world, the facilities are excellent, its a short drive into Florence, but far enough away to be very rual still. The pools, shops, wine and food (especially the site resaurant) are all very good. Its a bit awkward to find but generally having past the Co-op in figline on your left you need to take the next right at the lights then keep going up hill. If you want to visit unspoily chiatishire this is an ideal base. Enjoy!!!
