Les Moettes
We visited camping Les Mouettes about a week ago.
The camping is situated on chalk-rocks en has a beatifull view on the bay and chalk rocks of Criel sur Mer and of course the sea.
We had to leave after two days because our tent could not withstand stormy weather. Next year we are going back with a stormtent.
Criel sur mer has an pebble beach and is spectacular at high tide.
The campsite is situated on te highest Chalkrock-formation in Europe which you can climb. Everywhere you can find remains of WW2, like old bunkers inside the chalkrocks, overlooking the sea.
The campsite is really neat. The showers are clean, warm and included in the nightly rate you pay, which is only E 13,60 for two persons, a tent and a car. Every morning the owner sells freshly baked french bread and croissants in his cantine.
The soil is soft, so you can pin down your tent very easily.
We enjoyed this campsite very much and we were sorry we had to leave.
