Le Conguel
My family visited and I visited Le Conguel in June 2001.
The site is situated at the end of a penninsula on the south Brittany coast.
The surrounding area is very picturesque with every type of beach you could ask for.
The campsite overlooks a small, quiet and calm beach in the bay of Biscay with many other beaches along the bay only a short distance away.
On the opposite side of the penninsula is a town Called Quiberon which is sittuated on slight hillside and is only 10-15 min. walk from the campsite.
The bottom end of the town has a sandy beach on the atlantic ocean.
A road road from the town along the atlantic coast passes many sandy coves, well worth a look, and eventually leads to "le grand plage" a stunning beach approximatly 5 miles long.
A 20 min. search in the car will always find a quiet and most spectacular beach.
The camp site itself is clean and tidy with excellant facilities including:
Holiday chalets of various sizes
Tents
Pitches for tourists
Swimming pool with water slides & baby pool
Adventure park for children
Restaurant
Takeaway
Shop with fresh bread and english newspapers in the mornings
Laundry facilities
We enjoyed our stay at this site, would recomend it and will be going again ouselves in sept 2002.
