Airotel La Cheneraie, Bayonne

I stayed here for 2 nights on 18/19 May 2004. It is quite a well laid out site which is open all year round. Only one sanitaire block was available but was extremely well maintained. However the site was clearly operating under 1/4 power. No other facilities were open but the nearest spermarket was only about 2kn away. Site was clean and a lot of work was going on clearing up ready for the start of the season. 6.48 euro per night for me, bike and tent. My last 2 nights before heading back to UK by Euro Bike Express. There is a swimming pool which was being maintained with pumps and filters running and I had a nice swim on a v hot day -- but it was locked up after I got out! Like many of the sites in France it wasn't really up and running.
