Camping & Caravanning Club Site Reviews

Camping & Caravanning Club Site

We visited last week end to accompany our friends who were down from Hertfordshire- we live in nearby Hastings
The site is very clean-level and the grass clipped to perfection-The new shower/toilet blocks at the east end of the site are superb
It can get a little windswept but the site is sheltered a little by the banked sea wall and should not be considered a problem
The road access to the fixed site @ Normans Bay does cause traffic noise but after a bracing day at the seaside it is hardly noticeable
A great value site and one that we will visit again just to get away from it all. . .just down the road

Camping & Caravanning Club Site 5/5 5 stars

Normans Bay is situated across a quiet road from the shingle beach. The site is very clean, the toilets and showers are excellent as are the washing up facilities. Good shop well stocked with food and camping accessories, the freshly delivered bread and croisants are a must, daily papers and all tinned goods. Fish and Chip van comes every Saturday evening which is always very popular. Dog walk area. Games room. Play area for children. Friendly staff. Well positioned pitches. Gates locked after 11pm. Very quiet at night. A must for windsurfers, kite enthusiasts, fishermen. The tide goes out for miles. Good local amenities. Excellent for visiting other interesting areas of the South East. Only tip, can get breezy so bring a windbreak!

Camping & Caravanning Club Site

This campsite is right next to the beach, but can be windy as there is not much shelter apart from a few bushes. There is a good shop on site selling camping spares (inc awning straps!) and food. Facilities are good with two toilet/shower blocks, one rather newer than the other. The beach is shingle and the site lies behind a shingle embankment that provides some protection, but it has been known to flood.
