Amerden Caravan Site, Maidenhead

This campsite has a good play area, with tower, slide, climbing net, swings etc on bark chips. Children could also bicycle around the tarmac drive safely. The loos, showers, dishwashing and laundry areas were all spotlessly clean and spacious (but we were not there in high season). The river is a 2 minute walk away where you can walk along the towpath and watch boats at the lock. The motorway is extremely close (I think bordering the site), so it is not exactly quiet, although I did get used to the hum of the traffic. The campsite is well positioned for days out to Windsor, London and places on the M4! There is a big Sainburys and other shops within a couple of miles.
