Camping Parque Ardales, Ardales

Haven't been camping for a couple of years so this was just for a weekend. Nice site for laid back camping. 7 adults and 12 children in our party. Our wagon load of 6 people paid 20 euros in total for all day Saturday, Saturday night and all day Sunday - good value. The lake is great, the toilet and shower facilities spotless and the staff really friendly. Only 2 rules - no dancing on the stone picnic tables (perhaps 19 on one table was a bit much) and music to go down below Rave level after midnight.

The only down side was it was hard to find a spot that was large and still reasonably level, as most people have one or two man tents which you can pitch on the small spaces up and down the mountain so we pitched on the caravan plots which had huge BBQs and water and toilet blocks - it just meant a small hike down the hill to the lake but well worth the effort.

A wonderful place to go and explore or just to chill. Locals extremely friendly and laid back. Apartments really clean and supplies all there. I'd love to go back.

Wonderful scenery, affordable spacious apartments with balconies, adequate supermarket, and camping facilities make this an excellent place to visit. This is where the adventure seeking Spanish take their hols. Find the tunnel, its worth it! Swim in the turquoise lakes or take a pedalo out and feed the wild geese that frequent the lakes. The fish are enormous and the water snakes are harmless.
